Gabby Douglas’ Family Feud Over Her Future Millions
Gymnast Gabby Douglas became America’s “Golden Girl” after winning the all-around gold title at the London Olympics, but it seems her celebration has been overcast by her family’s feud over her future millions. According to the National Enquirer, Gabby’s soon to be divorced parents’ bad blood is the root of the problem surrounding the hundreds of millions Gabby is projected to make.
Since Gabby’s big win both sides of her family allegedly have been vying to get in good with the 16-year-old, with her father even proclaiming his love for his daughter in the publication.
“I’m trying to keep things positive right now. I feel like I’ve been the best father that I can be to my daughter and to my family.”
Although her father went to London to watch Gabby compete, there weren’t enough tickets to supply to the whole family.
Gabby’s paternal grandmother May Douglas added: “We don’t know how many tickets were given, and how they were given, we only know they were not given to us.”
If the allegations are true, it’s sad to see the achievements of such a world-class athlete be overcast by family drama.
